Issues

Through illegal immigration and inflation, Americans are being pushed into debt. Congress seems to be more worried about securing the border of Ukraine rather than the Southern Border.

Inflation

Inflation is caused by several sources

• Cost of Energy

• Reckless spending

• Unnecessary regulation

We need to tackle this issue from several different angles. First and foremost, we need to once again achieve energy independence. Oil, Fracking, Nuclear, Solar, and Hydro-electric. Another part of the solution is to work on managing Government Spending and regulation. By working at it from different angles it compounds the efforts to relieve the American people.

Foreign Spending

Our leaders should have learned from Iraq. Countless billions have been spent on a losing war in Ukraine. The federal debt is over 266k dollars per tax payer. Ask yourself one question, Has all this spending helped your life?

Immigration

It is the duty of the house to handle the process of impeachment. So when our immigration laws are unenforced and government resources are used to smuggle children, we need to hold the executive branch accountable. We already have laws on the books, it is the duty of Congress to hold the executive branch to a higher standard.

Social Security

“Cutting” Social Security is not the only solution. It was created with the intent and the direct purpose to aid and support Americans. For this noble initiative and grand purpose. I stand resolute in my belief and why I stand in opposition to “cutting” social security.

2nd Amendment

The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to allow people to defend themselves from all threats foreign or domestic. I will NOT back legislation that takes away guns from honest law-abiding Americans. Studies done by the CDC have shown that simply carrying has saved more lives than gun violence has taken. Most crime is committed with illegally acquired guns so banning citizens from legal ownership will not stop that problem.

Term limits

There should be term limits for all members of Congress. As well as the ability to remove members who can no longer perform their duties due to medical reasons. Dianne Feinstein had to give up power of attorney to her daughter because she could not be trusted to make her own decisions. However, for several months she still served as Senator. The current longest-serving senator is Chuck Grassley who has served since 1981. This is a problem on both sides.

Energy Independence

Maryland gets its energy mainly from three sources. Roughly 40 percent from Nuclear, 40 % from Natural Gas, and 20% from other sources. I support Nuclear Energy and Fracking. While fracking is controversial, when done with proper safety precautions the benefits outweigh the risks. Nuclear both in terms of fission and fusion will vastly expand our energy production. Finally, i would encourage more domestic drilling and give us control of our oil and not have to rely on other countries.

Lockdowns and Mandates

During the pandemic, American right constantly being violated and no one stood up against tyranny. Our rights are protected, while most people were willing to grant some exceptions. The government saw this as an opportunity and went farther than should have ever been allowed. With the bird flu, I want to make sure that no matter what happens it does not become another excuse to violate your rights.
